The PetroPhase Conference has traditionally brought specialists, industry leaders and subject matter experts to discuss the chemistry and properties of petroleum fluids and their impact on flow assurance, upgrading, and fouling from conventional and unconventional resources. PetroPhase2023 is hosting its first ever full day student conference. This event will take place on Sunday June 11, 2023 at Rice University. This is an opportunity for both graduate and undergraduate students to share their work,learn from world-renowned experts, and be aware of some unresolved challenges in Fluid Characterization, Flow Assurance, Upgrading and Fouling, Energy Systems Integration, Hydrogen and Renewables, Decarbonization and Carbon Removal and Emulsion and Produced Water Management. Students will have the opportunity to share their research as either an oral or poster presentation. There will be awards for the best oral and poster presentations. During the event, students will have ample time to network with members from industry and academia. Financial support may be available to graduate and undergraduate students who have submitted abstracts. To apply, students must send an email to studentaid@petrophase2023.org and include the following information: Name, School Name, Level, Major, Title of Abstract/Poster, Name of Advisor, and a link to a two-min video explaining the reasons to attend PetroPhase, and a brief presentation of their research (slides can be used to illustrate the work). By submitting this information, students grant the PetroPhase committee permission to share the information with current and prospective sponsors. Successful applicants also consent to the use their submitted videos for conference fundraising, publicity, and other purposes to help achieve the conference aims.
Cancelation Policy: Cancelation is allowed until April 7th, 2023 minus a 30% processing fee. If you are unable to attend, a substitute delegate is possible, provided that advanced authorization is obtained from the organizing committee. Cancelations and substitutions must be requested in writing info@petrophase2023.org.
